Each card contains brief information about the image, and they can be used to support you with opening up conversations about other cultures. Use these cards as flashcards, snap cards or memory games.
Papua New Guinea is an island country found in the southwestern Pacific Ocean. It includes the Eastern half of the second largest island in the world. Papua New Guineans identify as Melanesian. English is the main language of the government and commerce. Tok Pisin is also widely spoken throughout Papua New Guinea and there are 800 other languages spoken and many more dialects. It is a beautiful diverse country and is commonly known as the land of the unexpected. This resource has been designed in consultation with our community. It has been developed with embedding culture and cultural awareness for early childhood education and care in mind.
